Experienced Premier League manager David Moyes has admitted he’d be keen to take over Scottish Premiership giants Rangers or Celtic.

David Moyes might have made his name in English football but he remains closely connected with the game above the border.
And, speaking to Si Ferry, the Scottish coach has admitted that he would consider taking charge of either Celtic or Rangers should the opportunity present itself.
“Yeah, I would be,” Moyes said. “I’ve been close to a few of them once or twice and thought about it a lot. I would be [interested]. It’s my home and I’d like to come back and do it sometime.”
But while Moyes would be open to taking charge at Parkhead or Ibrox, that does not necessarily mean that he would be well received at two of British football’s biggest and most historic clubs.
Just look at the pressure Brendan Rodgers has been under recently from some sections with Celtic’s style of play a constant source of debate. The Hoops have lacked a little attacking spark or creativity recently with fans demanding entertainment as well as results.

A few miles across Glasgow, meanwhile, Steven Gerrard has been lauded by the majority of Rangers supporters for creating an expansive, attack-minded side who take the game to the opposition and score goals at an impressive rate.
Moyes, however, is renowned for his pragmatism and ability to organise a side, thriving in the underdog role. It is a style that has followed him throughout his career from Preston, Everton and Sunderland to even West Ham and Manchester United.
If Moyes was ever going to be seriously considered by Celtic and Rangers, he would need to show that he can change his ways.
