Celtic want one more centre-back to complete their squad and news that Bundesliga giants Dortmund could sell Neven Subotic should intrigue them.

Neven Subotic is set to bid farewell to Borussia Dortmund after ten years of loyal service.
The Serbian international centre-back is out of contract at the end of the season and, after Dortmund completed the £20 million signing of Manuel Akanji from FC Basel, the Sun states that a January exit is on the cards.
Huddersfield Town are understood to be leading the race with David Wagner, formerly Dortmund’s reserve team manager, a big fan of Subotic. And it appears that feeling is mutual with the 29-year-old open to a move to the John Smith’s Stadium.
But the Terriers are not the only side in Britain in the market for a centre-half.

Scottish Premiership champions Celtic have already raided the Bundesliga once this month, bringing Marvin Compper to Parkhead from RB Leipzig. And after the loan exit of Erik Sviatchenko, the Hoops are hoping to add one more stopper to their squad.
And with the Sun reporting that Subotic would be available for as little as £3 million, pocket change to Huddersfield and well within Celtic’s budget too, the American-born enforcer should be at least considered by the Glasgow giants.
There are many reasons why Subotic would fit Celtic like a hand in a glove.

The elegant defender, who speaks fluent English, is a proven winner having lifted the Bundesliga title on two occasions with Dortmund. He also boasts vast European experience and could be a major help on and off the pitch as Celtic aim to improve their performances on the continent.
The only major concern, however, should be the series of injuries that stopped Subotic developing into a really world-class centre back.
But if Rodgers is willing to take a punt, and he has a track-record for jump-starting stalling careers, a £3 million player could look like a £30 million player very quickly.
