Jason Cummings has scored just one Scottish Premiership goal since joining Rangers from Championship giants Nottingham Forest in January.

Jason Cummings could do with having a strong end to the season to avoid finding himself stuck between a rock and a hard place this summer.
The striker joined Rangers on loan in January after an ill-fated six month spell at Nottingham Forest but it is still unsure where he will be plying his trade next season.
It is understood that the Glasgow giants have the option to sign Cummings permanently this summer for a fee of £1 million – but the jury remains out on whether they should pay that with the 22-year-old having scored in just three of his 13 games for Rangers so far.

A return to Forest, however, appears to be off the cards too. The Nottingham Post states that Aitor Karanka is set to bring in a number of attacking additions for the goal-shy Championship giants, which would only serving to push Cummings further down the pecking order.
So with just five games remaining this season, the former Hibernian talisman will be desperate to make an impact at Rangers and put up a fight with Alfredo Morelos to be the main striker in Graeme Murty’s starting XI.

But if he remains on the periphery, and fails to add to a tally of one goal in 10 Scottish Premiership appearances for The Gers, Cummings would be risking missing out on a permanent move to Ibrox and a potentially awkward return to the City Ground instead.
