Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are expected to see Lee Wallace depart Ibrox this summer.

Has Lee Wallace played his last game for Rangers?
The 30-year-old captain has been at Ibrox since moving from Hearts back in 2011, making over 250 appearances for the Glasgow giants.

The long-serving left-back has a year left on his contract but the Scottish Sun believes that Wallace is unlikely to feature in Rangers’ first-team ever again.
But, fortunately for Rangers, they can call on Declan John to be the club’s number one left-back for the foreseeable future.
The Welshman has been impressive since he joined from Cardiff City on loan last summer and earned a permanent deal in January. John has scored three goals and grabbed another four assists while establishing himself as the club’s first choice number three in the injury-enforced absence of Wallace earlier in the season.

And the rise of John should ensure that Wallace is not too badly missed at Ibrox if, as suggested, he bids farewell this summer.
The succession plan had already started and it was likely that John would have been the regular starter next season anyway. Wallace’s potential departure would only speed up the 22-year-old’s progression into one of the first names on Rangers’ team-sheet.
