Nottingham Forest’s captain is one his way and Falkirk’s prized asset could arrive in his place.
With captain Henri Lansbury unlikely to be a Nottingham Forest player at the end of the week never mind the end of the month, it’s only natural that Philippe Montanier’s side should start searching for a replacement.
How one goes about filling the void left by a player responsible for six goals, three assists, and most of Forest’s most impressive performances in an otherwise indifferent campaign, is anyone’s guess.

Though, if reports are to be believed, the Midland giants could be willing to place rather substantial expectations on a 21-year-old plying his trade in the Scottish Championship.
According to the Daily Record, Falkirk playmaker Craig Sibbald has done more than enough to attract interest from the red half of the East Midlands, as well as Old Firm rivals Rangers and Celtic, in the January transfer window.
Furthermore, with his contract expiring in June, the youngster is free to sign a pre-contract agreement this month or, if the price is right, make the step up to one of English football’s most illustrious clubs midway through the campaign.
Though a regular since the age of 16, Sibbald is not the kind of signing that will sate a Forest fanbase frustrated with the lack of investment from above.

In fact, the prospect of losing their influential captain and replacing him with an unproven, cost effective 21-year-old may only add to the growing frustration within the City Ground.
Nonetheless, it surely can’t be a coincidence that Sibbald has climbed to the top of Forest’s wishlist while Lansbury’s departure looks more imminent by the day.
