Celtic and Premier League outfit Watford have both been linked with Iranian World Cup ace Mohammadi; is he moving in the January transfer window?

The fact that Akhmat Grozny full-back Milad Mohammadi is due to become a free agent at the end of this season has not gone unnoticed with clubs both above and below the border reportedly keen on the Iranian international.
According to The Sun, Celtic have identified the World Cup breakthrough star as a potential replacement for the experienced Mikael Lustig at Parkhead. Watford, however, are offering the 25-year-old Mohammadi the chance to prove himself in the Premier League.
And latest reports suggest that Celtic have another target on their minds too – which gives Watford hope that they can lure Mohammadi to Vicarage Road either in January or in the summer.
The Express reports that Celtic are also tracking Swansea City’s Welsh international Connor Roberts, a swashbuckling and attack-minded full-back renowned for his ability to get up and down the flank and chip in with the odd goal.
It is understood that Swansea are struggling to convince Roberts to commit his future to the Liberty Stadium (The Sun, 12 November, page 62) so may have to cash in before his contract runs out. A move to Celtic, then, appears a genuine possibility.

So Watford should feel positive about their chances of bringing Mohamaddi to Hertfordshire. The question, however, is where the athletic full-back will play.
The Iranian is renowned for his versatility and can play on both sides of the defence. But will he compete with Kike Femenia and Daryl Janmaat on the right or Jose Holebas and Adam Masina on the left?
