Vincent Janssen’s career at Premier League outfit Spurs hit a new low when he was stripped of his number nine shirt.

Tottenham Hotspur have made it abundantly clear what they think about Vincent Janssen.
On Tuesday, it emerged that the striker had been stripped of his number nine shirt despite the fact that Spurs haven’t exactly signed a player to take it off him.
And reports from Fotomac are claiming that the North London giants have offered Janssen to Galatasaray, such is their apparent desperation to force him out before the transfer window shuts at the end of August.

Divisions appear to be growing at Spurs between the men in charge and the fans, particularly after the well-documented failure to sign a single player all summer and the delay to the new stadium’s opening.
And supporters have now been given another reason to vent their fury on social media. It seems that the majority feel that Janssen has been treated very unfairly by the club he joined for £18.6 million in 2016.
Janssen was farmed out to Fenerbahce on loan last season and doesn’t appear to have any part in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans ahead of the new campaign. But is he being written off too early?

The Dutchman might have scored just twice in his debut Premier League season but better players than him haven taken time to adapt and it shouldn’t be forgotten that he would the Eredivisie’s Golden Boot in 2015/16 after a 27-goal haul with AZ Alkmaar.
