Alan Hutton is expected to leave Aston Villa at the end of this season with his contract at the Championship giants due to expire.

Alan Hutton will not be an Aston Villa player next season.
And, it seems, many Villa fans are sharing Hutton’s displeasure. And not just because the Scotland international has been one of the most committed players during one of the worst spells in the club’s history.

But because Hutton appears to have been sacrificed due to Financial Fair Play concerns.
Villa must comply in order to avoid sanctions and, with the Midland giants needing to cut back, it seems that the former Rangers and Tottenham man will be let go to save money more than anything else.
And when you consider that the likes of Gabby Agbonlahor and Ross McCormack are on higher wages, you can see why Villa supporters feel that Hutton is being unfairly treated.

The 33-year-old has been one of the first names on Steve Bruce’s team sheet this season, with 20 Championship starts to his name.
Although Ahmed Elmohamady and James Bree are waiting in the wings, time will tell whether Hutton’s experience and reliability will be badly missed at Villa Park.
