Premier League runners-up Liverpool have discussed signing ex-Tottenham goalkeeper Michel Vorm according to John Achterberg.

How many 30-something goalkeepers do Liverpool really need?
Since the start of August, and an opening-day injury to undisputed number one Alisson Becker, the Premier League runners-up have signed not only former West Ham stopper Adrian but 35-year-old Andy Lonergan too.
But, according to Liverpool’s goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, another veteran glovesman could be on his way to Anfield. Speaking to NOS, Achterberg has admitted that the Merseyside giants are considering a deal for free agent Michel Vorm.
A former Holland international who was released by Tottenham Hotspur this summer after five years in North London, Vorm would bring plenty of Premier League experience to Jurgen Klopp’s squad – plus the ability to start attacks from the back with ease.

But what’s happened to Klopp’s famed policy of promoting youth? That’s the question Liverpool fans are asking in their numbers anyway.
Yes, Poland U21 star Kamil Grabara may be out on loan at Huddersfield Town but surely 20-year-old Caoimhin Kelleher deserves an opportunity to stake his place in the senior squad, at least until Alisson returns.
“He is an outstanding talent. Outstanding,” Klopp told Goal of Kelleher. “He has fantastic reactions. If nothing serious happens, he will have a really fantastic future.”
If Vorm arrives at Anfield, Kelleher will have to wait a little while longer for that future to become the present.
