Phillip Cocu could reportedly bring his former PSV star Bart Ramselaar to Championship outfit Derby County.

Bart Ramselaar was spoilt for choice when growing up in mid-noughties Holland.
But instead of modelling his game on Wesley Sneijder, Clarence Seedorf or Rafael Van der Vaart, the PSV Eindhoven midfielder has decided instead to base his jinking, tippy-tappy style on Real Madrid’s number 22 – everyone’s favourite Andalusian, Isco.
“Real Madrid’s isco is my example, yes. But I don’t want to be compared to him. Not yet,” Ramselaar told NOS back in 2016, when he was still pulling the strings at Utrecht.
And after three years at PSV, two of those were spent under Phillip Cocu, reports in Holland suggest that the Isco of Amersfoort could be set for a reunion with the former Philips Stadium coach at Derby County.
The Eindhoven Dagblad claims that Ramselaar has been made available after falling out of favour under Cocu’s successor Mark Van Bommell and a move to Pride Park is potentially on the cards.

Now, signing Ramselaar really would help the Barcelona legend put his stamp on The Rams’ squad and style of play. He’s not just a buzzing hub of creativity. Ramselaar also has a superb range of passing, completing 92 per cent of his passes in the Eredivisie last season.
In 2017/18, when he was far more involved, his rate was a lower yet still impressive 84 per cent.
Signing Ramselaar would help Derby dominate possession and carve opposition teams apart through the middle. And who better than Cocu to help this wonderful talent get his career back on track?
