Mathias Jorgensen has been a big hit in the Premier League with Huddersfield Town but can he do better than David Wagner’s Terriers?

Mathias ‘Zanka’ Jorgensen has earned plenty of fans at Huddersfield Town for his performances on the pitch and his affable personality off it.
The Terriers made the big centre-back one of their first signings in preparation for their maiden Premier League campaign in the summer of 2017, paying Copenhagen £3.5 million to bring him to the John Smith’s Stadium.
28-year-old Jorgensen has been a key player ever since, not just for Huddersfield but for the Danish national team, too, featuring in all three of their games at the World Cup in Russia.
In quotes reported by the Sun (17 October, page 52), Denmark manager Age Hareide has made it clear that he thinks Jorgensen can do better than a Huddersfield side who are among the favourites for relegation from the Premier League this season.
“I definitely think he can take a step up to a bigger Premier League side. He’s fast, strong and now much calmer on the ball,” Hareide said.

Worryingly for Huddersfield fans, Jorgensen himself has admitted that he would be interested in swapping David Wagner’s side for a more established Premier League club, the Sun adds.
At the end of this season, ‘Zanka’ will have just a year remaining on his contract.
