Arsenal loaned David Ospina out to Napoli last summer and the goalkeeper has impressed in Serie A.

David Ospina has confirmed that he wants to leave Arsenal on a permanent basis this summer and hopes to stay at Napoli, while speaking to Napoli Gol.
The Gunners brought Ospina to the Premier League after he impressed for Colombia at the 2014 World Cup, paying a bargain £3 million to sign him from Ligue 1 outfit Nice (BBC).
But the 30-year-old found himself in and out of the side under Arsene Wenger and was farmed out to Napoli last summer once Unai Emery arrived and brought Bernd Leno to The Emirates from Bayer Leverkusen.
Ospina has found game time much easier to come by in Italy, playing 23 matches in all competitions. And after Monday night’s 2-1 home defeat to Atalanta, the Medellin-born shot-stopper has admitted that he has his heart set on staying at the Stadio San Paolo.

“One would always like to play,” Ospina said. “My future? My hope is to stay in Naples, we will decide with the club at the end of the season.”
Napoli have an option to sign Ospina in the summer when his loan spell comes to an end and it would be a surprise if they didn’t take up that option, given that he has often kept the expensive Alex Meret out of the starting XI while proving himself a reliable professional under Carlo Ancelotti.
