North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are currently fourth and fifth in the Premier League table.

This season is shaping up to be the most testing of Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur career.

After failing to sign a single new player this summer, and with confusion over the new stadium hanging over their heads, Spurs have already fallen four points behind early Premier League pacesetters Liverpool and Manchester City.

Pochettino’s side have also endured an inauspicious start in Europe, beginning their Champions League campaign with 2-1 and 4-2 defeats to Inter Milan and Barcelona.

But, speaking to Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT (4 October, 9:00am), former Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy is feeling positive, believing Spurs will still beat their North London rivals Arsenal to a place in the Premier League’s top four.

“I think it will be Chelsea and Tottenham (making up the third and fourth spot),” said Murphy . “I would have had Manchester United, I did have United at the beginning of the season, but the way I saw them play against West Ham and Brighton I think there’s problems.

“Arsenal have got no chance.”

Arsenal have made steady improvements under the former PSG and Sevilla head coach Unai Emery, winning their last seven games in all competitions.

The Gunners are currently level on points with Tottenham in the Premier League table, the London neighbours sitting fourth and fifth.
