Glasgow Rangers have reportedly made contact with Watford’s on-loan Kilmarnock goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann.

It is not an easy life being a substitute goalkeeper. Wes Foderingham spent two seasons as Rangers’ undisputed number one, but he has had to get used to life on the bench since Allan McGregor returned to Ibrox last summer.
Suddenly, a player who made 37 appearances in all competitions in 2017/18 has featured just six times since Steven Gerrard arrived at Ibrox. And, speaking to the Scottish Sun in February, Foderingham suggested that he could seek a move away in the summer.
“I’ll look at all the options that are available to me and make decisions based on that,” said Foderingham. “We will see where we are at the end of the season.”
“We have had discussions and (Gerrard) knows I want to play.”
The sensible thing for Rangers to do, then, would be to prepare for the shot-stopper’s exit. And, with Daniel Bachmann claiming that he could be on his way to Ibrox, maybe they are doing just that.

The 24-year-old Austrian is on loan at Kilmarnock from Watford and he has impressed in the Scottish Premiership for Steve Clarke’s side.
“There are contacts with my English agent,” Bachmann told Laola1 when asked if he was a target for Rangers.
Considering that McGregor has another 12 months on his contract, the veteran is not going anywhere this summer and Rangers’ interest in Bachmann suggests that Foderingham’s four-year spell at Ibrox might just be coming to an end.
