Crystal Palace’s Premier League left-back Pape Souare was reportedly a target for Championship strugglers Bolton Wanderers.

The last thing Pape Souare needed was another injury blow.
The Crystal Palace left-back saw his career stall after he suffered a broken leg in a horrific car crash in 2016 but had started to make progress this season, featuring three times for The Eagles’ first-team as he aimed to get himself back on track.

The Sun (6 January, page 63) even reported that Bolton Wanderers were hoping to sign the 28-year-old on a short-term loan deal.
And a move to the Macron looked like the perfect opportunity for Soaure, even if the cash-strapped Trotters are struggling down the bottom of the Championship under the embattled boss Phil Parkinson.

But, in another major blow, Souare’s injury curse struck again. The Sun (7 January, page 45) reports that the former Lille defender has undergone surgery for a shoulder problem that could keep him out for four months, ending talk of a move to Bolton.
Now, Souare has taken to Twitter to provide an update on the situation and you have to admirer his positive attitude in the face of yet more adversity.
