Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen is reportedly hoping to sign for Crystal Palace or West Ham United this month.

Vincent Janssen wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Crystal Palace this month. That is according to The Sun (22 January, page 49) anyway.

The report claims that Palace attempted to sign the Dutchman before he joined Spurs in a £17 million deal in the summer of 2016. And, with Mauricio Pochettino desperate to sell the misfit forward in the January transfer window, The Sun states that Janssen is hoping The Eagles renew their interest and offer him a fresh start.

He is apparently also open to joining West Ham United.

Now, it is no secret that goals have been a problem for Crystal Palace all season so how do fans feel about potentially signing a striker who has scored just twice in 28 Premier League games during a miserable spell at Tottenham?

Well, for all those who have written Janssen off already as another Aleksandar Sorloth, there are others who believe he is worth a punt.

The Sun claims that Spurs are willing to sell the 24-year-old for a cut price £12 million and it must be remembered that he looked like one of Europe’s most promising strikers a few years ago, winning the Eredivisie Golden Boot with AZ Alkmaar in 2015/16.

Janssen is a striker lacking in confidence – not quality.
