Leeds United are reportedly looking at Huesca again, where the Watford wonder-kid Juan Camilo Hernandez is shining.
Samu Saiz has not quite been the same influential creative force for Leeds United since he returned from a six-game ban for spitting in the FA Cup defeat to Newport County back in January.
But, for the most part, the diminutive Spaniard has been excellent at Elland Road since his £3 million move from Spanish second tier side Huesca last summer. Saiz has certainly been the best player recruited during the controversial reign of director of football Victor Orta.
And, one year on, it seems that Leeds are keen to raid Huesca again.
Diario de Leon believes that the Championship giants are interested in the highly-rated winger Alex Gallar, whose five goals and seven assists have helped Huesca to the top of the Spanish second tier as they close in on promotion to La Liga.
But if there is one Huesca player Leeds should target this summer, it is a player wanted by Barcelona and valued at £23 million.
Juan Camilo Hernandez is currently on loan at the club from Watford and has been a revelation. He has scored 11 goals from the centre of midfield, including two in the 2-0 win over Barcelona B in November, which has seen the La Liga leaders enquire about the 18-year-old’s availability according to Goal.
It is understood, however, that Watford see the Colombian wonderkid as a huge part of their future plans. But if he is not ready yet for a place in the Hornets’ first-team, another loan spell could do him some good; maybe in England to help him get prepared for life in the Premier League.
And that is where Leeds could come in.
