Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Premier League loanee Bright Enobakhare scored the winner as Coventry City sealed a 1-0 success at Accrington Stanley.
Coventry City boss Mark Robins has paid tribute to Bright Enobakhare after the Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster scored a brilliant winner in Saturday’s 1-0 triumph over Accrington Stanley, while speaking to Coventry Live.
The speedy Nigerian forward has been a big hit with the Sky Blues since he arrived in January, scoring three times in eight League One games.
His best so far came at the Crown Ground over the weekend, Enobakhare racing past three Accrington defenders before finishing with aplomb.
Robins could hardly hide his admiration after the game for a 21-year-old whose future at Molineux remains up in the air.
“Brandon Mason played the ball inside to someone who is unbelievable,” said the former Manchester United defender.
“He went past three players in there and then had the calmness of mind to just slot it into the corner. He was outstanding.”
Enobakhare’s contract is due to expire this summer and, as it stands, he will be available on a free from July. But, if he is keen to establish himself as a key player at his parent club, goals like this one will do him no harm whatsoever.
There is only one natural centre-forward in Wolves’ ranks, the Mexican international Raul Jimenez, so the door could still be open. But Coventry would surely love to keep Enobkhare if they can, and they will be given hope by the fact that his deal only has a few months left to run.
