Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly hoping to bring Aberdeen’s Scotland defender Scott McKenna to the Premier League.

England U21 internationals Kortney Hause and Dominic Iorfa have fallen well down the pecking order at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The defensive duo were regulars in the first-team under Paul Lambert throughout most of 2016/17 but are nowhere near the starting XI now. Since Nuno Espirito Santo arrived two years ago, Hause and Iorfa have barely featured with Connor Coady, Willy Boly and Ryan Bennett forming an impressive back-three combination.

As a result, Hause has spent every minute of the current Premier League campaign on the bench, while Iorfa has not featured in a single match-day squad, instead representing the U23s.

A reports in the Sun (30 September, page 59) claims that Wolves have been sending scouts to watch Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna; the 21-year-old Scotland international who is understood to be valued at £10 million.

McKenna is a defender with a huge amount of potential, even captaining Scotland on only his fourth cap. Excellent in the air and powerful on the ground, just imagine what Nuno Espirito Santo could do if he got his hands on the youngster.

If McKenna arrived at Molineux, maybe it would be time for Hause and Iorfa to go elsewhere. Because it seems they are fighting a losing battle right now.
