Spurs are hoping to bring Javier Pastore to the Premier League from Ligue 1 giants PSG but might have to let Erik Lamela leave for Inter Milan at last.

It seems that barely a transfer window goes by without Erik Lamela being heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan.

The Tottenham Hotspur winger has been tipped to swap North London for the San Siro ever since his disappointing 2013/14 debut season at White Hart Lane, and it appears the Nerrazzuri are hoping to bring an end to their wait almost four years on.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Inter are looking for reinforcements after a disappointing run which has seen their shock Serie A title bid come crashing down. And 25-year-old Lamela is once again at the top of their wishlist with sporting director Walter Sabatini, who brought the Argentine to Roma from River Plate in 2011, keen on a reunion.

It is understood that Spurs are not interested in selling Lamela, who only recently returned after a year out with injury.

But after seeing a £25 million bid for PSG play-maker Javier Pastore rejected, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, perhaps Mauricio Pochettino and co should chance their stance on Lamela.

Because Inter too have been very closely linked with Pastore in recent months with suggestions that Sabatini, who has a close relationship with the 28-year-old and gave him his chance in Europe with Palermo, is hopeful of bringing one of his favourite players to the San Siro, as reported by Mediagol.

But, thanks to Financial Fair Play, Sabatini cannot afford to bring both of his Argentine alumni to Inter.

So if Spurs are willing to finally let Inter land a squad player in Lamela, it could make their chances of signing a genuine star in Pastore a little better.
