Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a big-money swoop for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.

It has been quite the rise for 18-year-old Wolves player Ryan Giles over the last few months.
He was absolutely outstanding during a loan spell at AFC Telford, scoring twice and setting up seven more goals to help his local side escape from relegation, before snapping up Wolves’ Academy Player of the Year award.
Now, Giles is training alongside the clubs first-team stars and making a positive impression on the pre-season trip to Switzerland.
He started and starred as Wolves thrashed Swiss champions Young Boys 3-0 and stood out once again in a 2-1 victory over Champions League regulars Basel. Barry Douglas, the club’s usual first-choice left-back, has certainly been impressed.
“He’s got that raw talent and pace – I envy his pace!” the Scot told the Express and Star. “He’s got a big future.”
It remains to be seen what plans Nuno Espirito Santo has for the Telford-born talent as Wolves prepare for their first Premier League season in six years.

The big-spending Black Country club have been linked with a number of highly-rated left-backs, most recently Celtic’s Kieran Tierney. But Douglas certainly deserves his chance in the top flight while Giles has shown over the summer that he is capable of holding his own against quality opposition.
The Daily Record says that Celtic will not budge on their £30 million valuation of Tierney, so perhaps Wolves are better off putting their faith in young Giles.
