Premier League big-spenders Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly hoping to sign AC Milan’s Serie A midfielder Franck Kessie.

Compose yourself Wolverhampton Wanderers fans; reports on the continent are suggesting that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are looking to sign a midfielder who could obliterate their transfer record in the January transfer window.
Franck Kessie will not come cheap, after all.
Sky Italia reported in August that Wolves were willing to pay £36 million for the AC Milan midfielder. Fortunately for Rossoneri boss Gennaro Gattuso, who rates the Ivorian powerhouse very highly, Kessie had no interest in leaving San Siro in the summer.
But Wolves are not giving up just yet. Latest reports in Calciomercato this week claim that Kessie is still a target for the Black Country club, who have plenty of money to burn thanks to their billionaire Chinese investors.
The 21-year-old is one of the most promising midfielders on the continent, having been somewhat inevitably compared to his compatriot Yaya Toure.

And, although landing Kessie is far from guaranteed given that Milan have big plans for him, the prospect of the African starlet lining up alongside another dazzling young midfield talent in Ruben Neves should have Wolves fans very excited.
Partnering a masterful ball player like Neves with a real force of nature like Kessie would give Wolves a midfield with truly world-class potential.
