Scottish Premiership title chasers Rangers have been reportedly keeping an eye on Blackpool’s impressive League One centre-back Curtis Tilt.

Rangers are scouring the market for a centre-backs with a new defender understood to be one of Steven Gerrard’s top priorities heading into the January transfer window, according to the Express.
So the impressive form of Curtis Tilt will surely not have passed the former Liverpool skipper by.
According to the Scottish Sun, Rangers were interested in signing the £1 million-rated Blackpool powerhouse in the summer and he has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Tilt has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals, and the Tangerines will be fully aware that his future is far from certain. As it stands, the 27-year-old’s contract is due to run out at the end of this season.
Maybe this is why Blackpool manager Terry McPhillips has pointed out that Tilt, alongside a number of his teammates, could be available for the right price in January.
“It’s hard to say (whether Tilt will leave) because I think everyone has their price,” McPhillips told the Gazette.

“But it’s fair to say the club didn’t sell Tilty in the summer when they got good offers for him, so that won’t be down to me, that will be down to the club.”
It remains to be seen whether Blackpool would still demand £1 million for the former Wrexham man or whether Tilt’s price-tag has shrunk with his contract running down.
Either way, the commanding centre-back could be an affordable option for a Rangers side that looked a little shaky at the back before the impressive 1-0 victory against Old Firm rivals Celtic in December.
