Nottingham Forest are targeting Lewis Morgan, while Jamie Walker is now looking past his failed summer move to Ibrox and Rangers.

Just a matter of days after Jamie Walker played down speculation of a move to long-standing admirers Rangers in the January transfer window, the Hearts winger found his form in style.
The 24-year-old hadn’t scored a goal or produced an assist in nine appearances for the Edinburgh side in 2017/18, but that all changed when they travelled to Ross County on Saturday.
Walker was back in the groove at Dingwall, looking like the player who had starred with a career best 15 goals last season. He set up the first for Esmael Goncalves, before netting the winner himself with an exquisite finish.
In fact, Walker displayed exactly the form that had Rangers desperate to sign him in the summer and, according to the Scottish Sun, keen to land the winger on a pre-contract agreement in January with his deal at Hearts expiring in the summer.

After the Ibrox giants flatly refused to meet Hearts’ £1 million asking price in the summer, however, it appears that Walker is now having second thoughts about a move to Glasgow.
‘Not the be-all and end-all’
“If they really wanted me I think they’d have put down the money,” Walker told the Daily Record last week. “Rangers aren’t the be-all and end-all. It’s up to me to show what I can do and maybe get something better.”
These comments could not have come at a worse time, with Walker back to his best and showing Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha what he’s missing.
Added to this, The Sun reports that former Rangers boss Mark Warburton hopes to beat his former club to the signing of St Mirren winger Lewis Morgan.

Warburton already nabbed Rangers’ fans favourite Barrie McKay on the cheap in the summer in a deal that now looks like one of the bargains of the season. And bringing Morgan, who Rangers released from their academy in 2013, to the City Ground will only add to the frustration at Ibrox.
The expectation was that Rangers would sign one of Walker and Morgan to fill the gap on the left off their attack. Now, there is a very real chance they could lose out on both.
