Oumar Niasse has reportedly been told he can leave Everton – but Liverpool’s Divock Origi could also be leaving the Premier League soon.
It seems that Oumar Niasse has no future at Goodison Park.
The Senegal striker has played just 48 minutes of Premier League football this season, featuring in just half of their domestic games under Marco Silva.
And Turkish Football reported recently that Everton have given Niasse the green light to seek a move away from Merseyside in the January transfer window. But The Toffees’ hopes of getting rid of their £13 million, £55,000-a-week striker could be hanging by a thread – thanks to Liverpool.
Turkish Football report that Galatasaray have identified Niasse as a potential replacement for the influential Bafetimbi Gomis, whose 29 goals fired the Istanbul giants to the Super Lig title in May.
But the same publication claims that Galatasaray are now stepping up their interest in another out-of-favour, Merseyside-based striker.
It is claimed that the Champions League outfit are preparing a bid to bring Divock Origi to Turkey from Liverpool. The 23-year-old Belgian international has been demoted to the reserves by Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp after spending last season out on loan with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
Galatasaray can surely only sign one or the other – meaning Everton’s chances of discarding Niasse could depend on whether Liverpool are willing to let Origi go to Turkey.
