Everton are after FC Porto coach Sergio Conceicao, who won the Primeira Liga title with Moussa Marega and Yacine Brahimi in brilliant form.

Everton have been linked with two of the star performers from newly crowned Portuguese champions FC Porto this summer. So who better than to bring them to Goodison Park than the man who led the Primeira Liga giants to their first league title in five years?

According to The Times, Everton have made Sergio Conceicao a candidate to replace the under-fire Sam Allardyce this summer. The 43-year-old has emerged as one of the most promising young coaches in Europe over the last few years, enhancing his reptuatuion by ending Porto’s trophy drought on the back of saving Nantes from relegation to Ligue 2 last season.

And, interestingly, Conceicao is not the only member of Porto’s title-winning clan who has been linked with a move to Merseyside.

A Spor stated last month that Everton want the Algerian dribble-machine Yacine Brahimi, two years after failing with a then club-record £33.6 million bid for the former Granada winger.

This came after A Bola tipped Everton to sign Moussa Marega (below), the prolific frontman who has followed in the footsteps of Radamel Falcao, Hulk and Andre Silva in scoring for fun at the Dragao.

Between them, Brahimi and Marega have scored 35 goals and set up 18 more in all competitions for Porto and would add pace, power and no shortage of end product to an Everton attack which has stuttered throughout the season.

Conceicao is a manager who gets the best out of his players and forms tight bonds with those he works with, so it would be little surprise if he was followed to Goodison Park by arguably his two strongest performers.
