Premier League big-spenders Everton have been linked with Rodrigues of Super Lig giants Galatasaray – but might now sign his potential replacement instead.

If Everton secure one signing this summer, they could scupper another at the same time.
The 23-year-old has been in excellent form on loan at Turkish outfit Kasimpasa from Anderlecht, netting 12 goals in the Super Lig this season and, along with Liverpool’s Mo Salah and Stoke City’s Ramadan Sobhi, will be key to Egypt’s hopes of making an impression at this summer’s World Cup.

But Everton must consider the potential implications of bringing Trezeguet to Goodison Park, because if they do, a deal for Garry Rodrigues could slip through their grasp.
Alongside West Ham and Newcastle United, Everton were expected to be at the front of the queue for Galatasaray winger Rodrigues this summer with the Cape Verde ace starring for the Istanbul giants. He has been one of the best players in Turkey, scoring six and setting up eight goals in 2017/18.

Interestingly, however, Gunes claimed that Gala had identified none other than Trezeguet as Rodrigues’ successor with the club seemingly accepting defeat over their ability to hang onto the African, who is reported to be available for £16 million.
So Everton must choose their Turkish-based winger carefully. If they go for Trezeguet, Rodrigues will surely slip through their grasp.
