Porto’s Primeira Liga starlet Fernando Fonseca is reportedly a target for Scottish Premiership champions Celtic but could Ntcham go the other way?

Olivier Ntcham might have signed a new contract as recently as November but that does not mean he is set for a long stay at Parkhead.
O Jogo reported last week that FC Porto have made a new move for a player they failed to sign in the summer, with coach Sergio Conceicao determined to bring a new midfielder to the Dragao after letting Riechedly Bazour join Utrecht on loan.
And the report added that Ntcham was determined to leave Celtic this month, with his heart seemingly set on a move to the Primeira Liga champions.
But Celtic should perhaps see this as an opportunity rather than a blow.
After all, the Scottish Sun believes that Porto are willing to offer Brendan Rodgers’ side a £14 million-plus-player deal with the out-of-favour centre-back Chancel Mbemba used as bait.

Whether Celtic would be interested in the former Newcastle defender remains to be seen, but reports from the Scottish Sun say there is one Porto player on the Hoops’ radar – the highly-rated 21-year-old right-back Fernando Fonseca.
Celtic are crying out for a defender to replace Mikael Lustig, having failed in their pursuit of a whole host of alternative targets.
If Porto are willing to offer Fonseca for Ntcham, who has been far from his best this season, Celtic could struggle to turn that down.
