Leeds United welcome Brentford to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon looking to retain their place at the top of the Championship table.

You could hardly blame Leeds United fans for feeling optimistic right now. The Whites are top of the Championship table after 11 games and recovered from a recent wobble with a hard-fought yet deserved 1-0 away win against Hull City on Tuesday night.
And with the esteemed Marcelo Bielsa at the helm, Leeds have one of the most tactically astute, daring and experienced managers in all of English football.
Though Saturday’s home game against Brentford could still twang the nerves of the Leeds faithful.
Yes, Dean Smith’s Bees have failed to win any of their away games this season but Leeds will be wary of that changing with some hugely talented attackers heading to Elland Road – including one man Leeds fans know well.
The West Yorkshire giants were heavily linked with Ollie Watkins in the summer of 2017 after a superb breakthrough season with Exeter City but he joined Brentford instead, as reported by the Daily Star.

Now, Watkins is one of the hottest prospects anywhere in the division and will be key to Brentford’s hopes of getting their first away win at Elland Road, having scored four goals and set up two more in 10 Championship games.
Former target Watkins is the man capable of bringing Leeds back down to earth. So Bielsa will need his usually reliable right-back Luke Ayling to be at his best on Saturday.
