Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Joe Mason is set to join ex-Molineux teammate Jack Price at MLS club Colorado Rapids.

Joe Mason’s Wolverhampton Wanderers career is coming to an end.
The 26-year-old moved to Molineux from Cardiff City in January 2016 for a fee of around £3 million, as reported by Wales Online. But, in the last two years, he has not really made an impact in the Black Country.
Mason started only 18 Championship games for Wolves and scored six goals before moving to Burton Albion on loan at the start of this season, a deal that was unfortunately cut short as he was struck down by injury and illness.
Since returning to Molineux, however, Mason has not made a single appearance with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side now boasting some of the Championship’s finest attacking talents thanks to the club’s well-connected Chinese owners.

And Mason could now be set to leave with a rather dramatic change of environment on the horizon.
The Mail reported earlier this week that MLS side Colorado Rapids were keen to sign the former Republic of Ireland U21 international on a year-long loan. And manager Anthony Hudson has all but confirmed that the deal will go through.
Great signing
“There have been reports about Joe Mason. We’re really pleased that we’ve come to an agreement with the club and the player,” Hudson, the former New Zealand boss who was announced as Colorado’s new coach in November, said in quotes reported by the Birmingham Mail.

“It’s a great signing for us. He’s a top player. Played at a really high level. He’s going to suit how we play, going to suit the League so now all we’re waiting for is the formalities – visas and these types of things.
“Hopefully he’s here as quickly as possible, he’s a great signing for us.”
Colorado, who finished second bottom in the Western Conference in 2017, travel to New England for the first game of the new season on March 10.
And Mason will join Jack Price, who swapped Molineux for Dick’s Sporting Goods Park last month, in Colorado.
