Adam Lallana made a rare Premier League start as Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium on Monday night.

Stan Collymore has hailed Adam Lallana for his part in Liverpool’s goal in their 1-1 draw away at West Ham United on Monday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s side dropped points for the second Premier League game in a row at the London Stadium, with Michail Antonio firing home from a well-worked free-kick routine to cancel out Sadio Mane’s first-half strike.
Like against Leicester City last week, the Reds were far from their free-flowing best with Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah in particular struggling to open up a well organised Hammers back-line.
But Lallana offered a glimpse of his class on a rare start, bamboozling Manuel Pellegrini’s defenders before flicking the ball into James Milner’s path in the build up to Mane’s well-taken finish.

And, reacting on Twitter, former Liverpool striker Collymore has singled out Lallana for his role in the goal.
Regardless of Lallana’s classy piece of skill, the goal should clearly have been ruled out with Milner straying well offside before crossing for Mane to convert.
But an in-form Lallana could be crucial for a Liverpool side who have started to look a little fatigued in recent weeks.
