Rangers thrashed Motherwell 7-1 at Ibrox while Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic were held to a goalless draw by Livingston this weekend.

Who said Scottish football was predictable? Celtic may be top of the table heading into the November international break, but there are just three points separating first from fifth right now.
And while Brendan Rodgers’ side missed the chance to move clear in first place, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers put a few frustrating performances behind them in stunning fashion against Motherwell, battering their opponents 7-1 at Ibrox.
So it is little surprise to see a number of Rangers players in Chris Sutton’s latest Team of the Week for BT Sport.
Uros Grezda is included on the right wing after the Albanian, a £2 million summer signing from Osijek (BBC), scored his first two goals for the Glasgow giants. Scott Arfield also netted twice against Motherwell while Alfredo Morelos bullied the visitors’ defence into submission and fired home his 14th goal of the season.

Sutton has found room for one Celtic player, meanwhile. Dedryck Boyata stood out in an otherwise disappointing 0-0 draw against a typically well-drilled Livingston side.
But with the Belgian defender out of contract and expected to leave either in January or the summer, Celtic won’t be able to rely on his intelligent positioning for much longer.
