Andrew Gutman could still be set for a temporary stint away from Celtic.

Celtic are still looking to loan Andrew Gutman out for the rest of the season despite a potential move to Nashville falling through recently, according to assistant manager Chris Davies.
The 22-year-old defender arrived at Parkhead after a prolonged transfer saga, which included a trial at Old Firm rivals Rangers, during the January transfer window. But it was expected that he would return to his native America until the start of next season.
According to the Daily Record, Gutman was set to join MLS newcomers Nashville but the league blocked the move – meaning the young left-back has been left in no-man’s land.
However, speaking to the Daily Record, Davies has admitted that Celtic will now attempt to find a new club willing to offer Gutman some much-needed game-time over the next few months.

“He will be coming back here and probably be going back on loan,” he said. “We will look at a different loan option that will suit Andrew.”
Illinois-born Gutman stood out for Indiana Hoosiers across the Atlantic and recently won the Hermann Trophy – which is considered the most prestigious award handed out to a college player in the USA.
And a short-term return to America could be for the best given that Celtic are not short of left-backs as it stands with Kieran Tierney, Emilio Izaguirre and the versatile Jonny Hayes all available to manager Brendan Rodgers.
