Slavisa Jokanovic is under huge pressure at Fulham – could the Premier League newcomers replace him at Craven Cottage?

With the pressure rising on Slavisa Jokanovic, the last thing the Fulham manager needed was a limp 1-0 defeat away at Huddersfield Town on Monday night.

The Cottagers are now bottom of the Premier League table after a below-par display at the John Smith’s Stadium in which they were both out-fought and out-thought by their fired-up hosts. A Timothy Fosu-Mensah own goal was the difference between the two struggling sides.

As a result, doubts about Jokanovic’s future have increased further with the former Watford boss clearly struggling to arrest his side’s worrying slide.

Fortunately for Fulham, however, there are a number of experienced Premier League managers available should panic force them into a change.

In the latest odds provided by Paddy Power, David Moyes is 7/2 favourite to take over should Jokanovic leave with Sam Allardyce second favourite at 6/1.

Moyes saved West Ham from the drop after taking over from Slaven Bilic around this time last year while Allardyce has performed miracles at both Sunderland and Crystal Palace.

Interestingly, Claudio Ranieri is priced at 7/1, having left Nantes at the end of last season. The Italian famously led Leicester City to the Premier League title the last time he worked on British shores.

Chris Coleman could also be an option too at 7/1. The 48-year-old both ended his playing career and started his managerial career at Craven Cottage, coaching Fulham between 2003 and 2007.

He is currently in the Far East with Hebei China Fortune, having failed to save Sunderland from dropping into League One in May.
