Could Chicharito be heading home to Mexico after two years in the Premier League with West Ham United?

Is Javier Hernandez on his way back home?
Born amidst the Neo Gothic splendour of Guadalajara, the green-eyed kid known as ‘Chicharito’ joined local outfit Chivas at the age of nine, rose through the ranks at a rate of knots before securing a dream move to Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United.
A decade on, via spells at Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and West Ham, the ‘little pea’ would be welcomed home with open arms.
“It would be great. ‘Chicharito’ is a fabulous goalscorer,” Chivas manager Tomas Boy told AS Mexico.
“He is a fabulous player. I’d love for him to come.”

Chivas are certainly on the charm offensive as they look to tempt Hernandez back across the Atlantic. Speaking to Telemundo on Tuesday, president Amaury Vergara admitted that a deal to sign the record goalscorer in the history of the Mexican national team was ‘feasible’.
At 31, Hernandez still has plenty to offer but there’s an underlying feeling that a once prolific goalscorer has never really lived up to expectations since joining West Ham for £16 million, scoring just 17 goals in 63 games (BBC).
And with starts hard to come by under Manuel Pellegrini, maybe Guadalajara can get ready to embrace their favourite son once again.
