Richarlison’s performances for Watford so far this season have been superb, and there is no doubt that the 20-year-old forward is one of the best young players in the Premier League at the moment.

The Brazilian youngster scores goals, provides assists and creates chances, and he is one of the main reasons why Marco Silva’s Watford are doing so well in the Premier League.

Given the youngster’s performances so far this campaign, it should not come as a surprise to see that he has been linked with a number of top clubs in the Premier League.

According to The Sun, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Richarlison, while The Gambling Times has credited Everton with interest in the Brazilian forward, who joined Watford from Fluminense in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £11.5 million.

Tottenham have given chances to young and promising players in recent years, with manager Mauricio Pochettino not afraid to throw in youngsters if he thinks that they are good enough.

David Luiz #30 of Chelsea FC arrives during the International Champions Cup match between FC Internazionale and Chelsea FC at National Stadium on July 29, 2017 in Singapore.

Chelsea do not have a great record of handing young players first-team opportunities, but the Blues may have an advantage in regard to the pursuit of Richarlison – his friendship with fellow Brazilian David Luiz.

The Watford forward recently spoke of his friendship with Chelsea defender Luiz, who is in his second spell at Stamford Bridge and is a senior figure in the current team.

Richarlison told The Telegraph in October: “I go quite often to David Luiz’s house, and Willian usually joins us, as they are close friends. We have a barbecue, play video games, and we cannot live without samba.”
