Celtic beat Rangers 2-1 in Sunday’s Scottish Premiership clash with Odsonne Edouard starring while Alfredo Morelos was sent off.

Charlie Nicholas claims Odsonne Edouard has proved himself to be a better player than Alfredo Morelos after Sunday’s incident-packed Old Firm derby clash, while speaking to the Daily Star.
Celtic moved 13 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a dramatic 2-1 win against Rangers at Parkhead, James Forrest’s late winner all-but securing an eighth successive Scottish Premiership title for Neil Lennon’s side.
Odsonne Edouard was arguably the best player on the pitch, scoring a brilliant individual goal to open the scoring with his 19th of the season before setting up Forrest’s clincher in the final ten minutes.
Morelos, in contrast, made headlines for all the wrong reasons. The Colombian was sent off for the fifth time this season with an ill-advised elbow on Celtic skipper Scott Brown.
And Celtic legend Nicholas believes there is no doubt now about who is the better striker, while questioning why anyone would want to pay £20 million for Morelos.

“Rangers now have to cut their losses on Alfredo Morelos,” Nicholas said. “Sums as large as £20m were mentioned, but I’d take £9m or £10m if they were to be offered that in the summer.
“Celtic paid £9m for Odsonne Edouard and he has shown he is a better player than Morelos.”
Sky Sports claimed that Leicester City and Borussia Dortmund are interested in the former HJK Helsinki striker but maybe they should look elsewhere on Sunday’s evidence.
