Manchester City have such a treasure trove of talent that choosing just one isn’t easy. Yet Leigh Griffiths is fairly certain with his choice.

Celtic goal-machine Leigh Griffiths has told fans on the club’s official Twitter feed that David Silva is the Manchester City player he would most like to line up alongside if given the choice.
Sergio Aguero has exploded into the new season with a barrage of clinically taken goals while Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Fernandinho have already improved immeasurably under the guidance of Pep Guardiola (below).

It is testament, therefore, to the vast array of talent at the Catalan’s disposal that Silva has slipped under the radar in recent weeks despite rediscovering his finest form after suffering something of a dip last season.
And Griffiths, who scored a remarkable 40 goals in all competitions last season, has admitted that he would prefer to thrive off Silva’s perfectly threaded through-balls and intricate vision rather than partner Aguero up top or power home a wonderful De Bruyne set-piece.
Injury ruled the 26-year-old out of Celtic’s Champions League opener against Barcelona two weeks ago, culminating in the Glasgow giants’ heaviest ever European defeat.
However, the former Wolves and Hibernian striker is finally set to make his debut in Europe’s elite competition against City on Wednesday at Celtic Park.
And although a keen admirer of Silva’s elusive brilliance, Griffiths will be hoping the likes of Scott Brown (below) and Nir Bitton douse the Spanish sorcerer’s magic as Brendan Rodgers’ side seek a crucial three points.
