Linfield wonder-kid Charlie Allen is reportedly a target for Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic and Rangers.

The race for Linfield wonder kid Charlie Allen is heating up. Just weeks after the young midfielder was linked with a move to Rangers, the Scotsman report that he has been offered a trial by their Old Firm neighbours Celtic.
The gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership is arguably at its smallest since Rangers returned to the top flight in 2016.
The Gers made great strides under Steven Gerrard last season, beating and outplaying Celtic twice in the league. The days of 5-1 and 4-0 thrashings at the hands of their bitter rivals appear to be over with the former Liverpool captain at the helm.
Rangers have signed well during the off-season too, building a potentially title-winning squad with new signings Joe Aribo, Sheyi Ojo and Filip Helander catching the eye.
But losing Allen to their green-clad neighbours would take a bit of the shine off what has been an otherwise excellent summer.
The Belfast Telegraph claimed that Rangers were interested in the fresh-faced Irishman, who is also interesting the likes of Leeds United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

But Celtic have now stolen a march. The Scotsman claims that they have offered Allen the chance to train at Lennoxtown and potentially earn a contract with the reigning champions, where he would initially feature in the reserves alongside newbies Leo Fuhr Hjelde and Tobi Oluwayemi.
Your move, Rangers. Gerrard and co must act fast and step up their interest before it’s too late.
