Hibernian star Dylan McGeouch left Rangers for Old Firm rivals Celtic in 2011, admitting that he is a boyhood fan of the Hoops.

Unsurprisingly, Hibernian are doing everything they can to ensure that Dylan McGeouch does not walk away from Easter Road for free at the end of this season.
The 25-year-old midfielder is out of contract in the summer and, per the Edinburgh News, Hibs have been unable to tie him down despite putting a new three-year deal on the table.
McGeouch has been one of the best players in Scotland all season, putting those injury problems behind him to form a fabulous partnership with Scott Allan and the much-coveted John McGinn with Hibs currently fourth in Scotland’s top flight.

But as things stand, McGeouch is free to talk to other clubs and sign a pre-contract agreement – which should come to the attention of a Celtic side who will be ruing their failure to keep the faith in the diminutive playmaker during his development years.
McGeouch only played 27 times for Celtic’s first-team before they let him leave for Hibs in 2015, with Allan, who is back at Easter Road on loan these days, going in the other direction.
Celtic born and bred
Celtic have managed to lure McGeouch to Parkhead before – and should not wait around to do it again.
As reported by the Daily Record, the boyhood Celtic fan rejected a five-year contract at bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers in 2011, staying in the Ibrox youth system for a further five months before moving to Parkhead on a free when his deal expired.

“It was hard for someone as young as me to tell a guy like Walter Smith that I was rejecting his offer,” McGeouch said.
“But he understood it was nothing personal. Walter knew that I was a Celtic fan.”
These days, you could argue that McGeouch would walk into Brendan Rodgers’ midfield, so is now the time to hand him a second chance?
