Team Talk reported last weekend that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers was ‘keeping a very close eye’ on Wigan Athletic star Nick Powell.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder would be an exceptional coup, given that he has netted three goals and set up another three in five Championship outings for Wigan this season.

Plus, Rodgers might just need another attacking midfielder, after Australia manager Graham Arnold raised injury concerns about Tom Rogic by revealing that the 25-year-old star was set to receive a knee injection directly after Sunday’s Old Firm clash.
Powell, valued at £5 million by the Latics [Team Talk], can also be used as a striker and bagged 17 goals from 36 career games as a number nine [Transfermarkt], which may also interest the Scots amid doubts about Moussa Dembele’s future.
