Is Dedryck Boyata set to sign a new contract with Scottish Premiership giants Celtic? Or is he leaving in the January transfer window?

The future of Dedryck Boyata has been up in the air for as long as anyone can remember.
Back in the summer, the Belgian centre-back was linked with a move away from the Scottish Premiership champions on an almost daily basis with clubs from Spain and Turkey interested and Fulham reportedly seeing a £9 million bid rejected, according to The Times.
And with Boyata out of contract at the end of the season, speculation had suggested that Celtic could sell the former Manchester City man in January to avoid losing him on a free.

HLN had claimed in October that Brendan Rodgers and co had given up hope of keeping the 27-year-old at Parkhead beyond 2019.
So no wonder a rather cryptic video, posted on Boyata’s official Instagram account, has fans scratching their heads. In the short clip, the centre-back appears to be sitting in front of a contract with a pen at the ready – while his choice of emojis too leaves plenty to the imagination.
But what does this mean? Is Boyata set to perform a remarkable U-turn and commit his immediate future to Celtic or is this just a bad case of crossed wires?
