Scottish Premiership champions Celtic need to replace the injured Craig Gordon, and fans want Liverpool’s Danny Ward rather than Motherwell’s Trevor Carson.

What more can Danny Ward really do to get his chance at Liverpool?
The 24-year-old goalkeeper has done more than enough to prove himself away from Anfield, starring on loan at Aberdeen in 2015/16 before playing a major role as Huddersfield Town claimed promotion to the Premier League last season.
But the Welsh international remains on the periphery of Jurgen Klopp’s plans, despite the fact that Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius continue to drop the number one jersey like a simple flighted cross.

Klopp refused to let Ward return to Huddersfield in the summer and has promptly handed him a grand total of just one first-team appearance all season, coming in the 2-0 EFL Cup defeat to Leicester City back in September.
But if Liverpool are not willing to give Ward a chance, it seems he would be welcomed with open arms at Celtic.
The Scottish Champions are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper with Craig Gordon set for a three-month spell on the sidelines. And after the Daily Record reported that the Hoops made a rather underwhelming £200,000 offer for Motherwell’s Trevor Carson, Celtic fans have taken to social media to encourage a bid for the underused Ward.

The Sun stated when Rodgers first took over at Celtic in 2016 that he was keen on bringing his former Liverpool prospect to Parkhead and 18 months on, now is the time to make the move.
