Scottish Premiership champions Celtic are reportedly looking at Primeira Liga giants FC Porto for their new right-back.

Another week, another right-back target for Celtic.
According to the Scottish Sun, the Scottish Premiership champions are planning a £2 million move for Porto’s Fernando Fonseca as Brendan Rodgers looks for a man capable of replacing the ageing and increasingly shaky Mikael Lustig at the back.
Now, Celtic will be hoping to finally get their man after missing out on Cristiano Piccini and Connor Roberts.
The Scottish Sun adds that they were also priced out of a move for the £10 million-rated Atalanta defender Timothy Castagne while an attempt to land Olympiakos’ Omar Elabdellaoui has also hit a brick wall.
But while the report claims that Porto are open to doing business with Celtic, this hardly means that a deal for Fonseca will be straightforward.
After all, the Primeira Liga champions are notoriously difficult to negotiate with, often demanding top dollar for their players.

Since winning the 2004 Champions League, Porto have brought in almost £800 million in transfer fees, earning mega money for players like Eliaquim Mangala, Ricardo Quaresma and the former Rangers centre-back Bruno Alves.
In short, Porto will be no pushovers. So while Fonseca is far from an established star at the Dragao, it would be a surprise if they were willing to sell one of their brightest youngsters, a player Juventus wanted last year (O Jogo), for just £2 million.
