Scottish Premiership champions Celtic reporteldy want to sign Rekeem Harper from Championship play-off semi-finalists West Bromwich Albion.

Back in the summer of 2017, Celtic signed an out-of-contract 19-year-old from a Championship club. Two years later, they sold former Fulham starlet Moussa Dembele for a £20 million profit after the Frenchman scored 51 goals and lifted six trophies in the green and white Hoops.
But could Celtic replicate the success of one of their most inspired transfer deals this summer?
The similarities between Dembele and Rekeem Harper are certainly unavoidable, even if the latter is a midfielder rather than a centre-forward.
Harper only turned 19 this month and he too with be available for free in a few weeks’ time with West Bromwich Albion failing to tie him down to a long-term deal.
According to the Mail, Celtic have been tracking the talented play-maker since Lee Congerton’s time at the club and interim manager Neil Lennon watched him first hand during West Brom’s play-off semi-final defeat to Aston Villa.

A gifted and creative teenager, Harper has been compared to Patrick Vieira by West Brom’s coaches and with good reason, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.
And should Celtic beat Tottenham and Norwich to his signature, he has all the potential to follow in Dembele’s footsteps.
