Adrien Tameze was expected to leave Ligue 1 for the Premier League this month before his move to Cardiff City seemingly fell apart.

Cardiff City have renewed their interest in Nice midfielder Adrien Tameze, according to Wales Online.
The highly-rated Nice enforcer has been Cardiff’s number one midfield target throughout the January transfer window, the Frenchman having shone under Patrick Vieira in Ligue 1 while earning comparisons to Jean-Michel Seri.
But the move looked to have collapsed earlier this month when the Mail reported that Cardiff had pulled out of negotiations, despite agreeing to pay £10 million.
Wales Online, however, are claiming that the deal is back on with Cardiff’s chairman Mehmet Dalman having watched Tameze in the flesh during Nice’s recent draw with Monaco.
It is understood that The Bluebirds see Tameze as a potential replacement for Aron Gunnarsson, the experienced Icelandic hardman, while Harry Arter and Victor Camarasa are only on loan from Bournemouth and Real Betis respectively.

Furthermore, Wales Online suggest that Cardiff, a side who are famed for ‘playing the percentages’ and usually creating chances via set-pieces and industrious wing play, are hoping to adopt a more possession-based style and see Tameze as the midfielder who could make such a transition possible.
The highly-rated former Valenciennes youngster also has plenty of interest from clubs in China, however.
