Marcelo Bielsa needs to replace Barry Douglas at left-back ahead of Leeds United’s Championship fixture against Brentford at Elland Road

It would take a brave man to go against Marcelo Bielsa right now.
The legendary Argentine has shown everyone why he is admired by the likes of Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino since arriving at Elland Road in the summer, guiding Leeds to the top of the Championship after 11 games.
But with Bielsa facing a difficult call ahead of Saturday’s home game against Brentford, it seems that he is learning towards a decision that many Leeds fans don’t agree with.

Barry Douglas is expected to miss the Brentford clash after picking up a muscle injury away at Hull in midweek and Gaetano Berardi is still on the sidelines too.
And, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Bielsa is expected to select the experienced Stuart Dallas out of position at left-back – rather than give a chance to the highly-rated Tom Pearce in his natural role.
Now, Dallas at left-back would be a square peg in a round hole. Pearce, meanwhile, was hugely impressive when given a run in the side at the end of last season and was rewarded with a new four-year deal in June.

If the Dallas decision backfires against The Bees, where he is likely to come up against the dangerous Sergi Canos, Leeds fans could be justified in questioning Bielsa for the first time.
