Lassana Coulibaly swapped Ligue 1 for the Scottish Premiership in the summer when he joined Rangers from Angers.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has been open about his desire to sign loan star Lassana Coulibaly on a permanent deal, as reported by the Daily Record.
“We would love to have Lassana on a full-time basis,” Gerrard said in August of the tough-tackling midfielder, who arrived on a temporary basis from Angers in the summer.
Coulibaly has certainly made an impact at Ibrox. The 22-year-old has been hugely impressive in his six Scottish Premiership appearances so far and has looked a cut above in Europe, too, adding energy and tenacity to a midfield that had looked one-paced last season.
According to the Daily Record, Coulibaly has a contract with Angers until 2021. So the Ligue 1 side hold all the cards and could expect to earn a decent profit on a player they signed from Bastia in 2017 for just £1 million.
If the Mali international continues to impress in Glasgow, Rangers should be willing to pay far more than £1 million to buy out the years left on his Angers contract.

Now, the Gers showed a willingness to splash the cash last summer, paying over £2 million for Connor Goldson, Borna Barisic, Nikola Katic and Eros Grezda.
And Coulibaly could be worth every penny after proving himself in Scotland’s top flight.
