Wesley Moraes hasn’t even played a Premier League game yet but he has already impressed Aston Villa legend Brian Little.

Aston Villa legend Brian Little is already a fan of new £22 million signing Wesley Moraes, hailing the Brazilian in an interview with the Birmingham Mail.
Eyebrows and questions were raised when the little-known Wesley became Aston Villa’s record signing in June. After all, the 22-year-old was arriving from the less-than-prestigious Belgian first division having never proved himself in a so-called ‘top European league’.
But Wesley has already won over Little, albeit in a pre-season clash against League Two opposition.
The 6ft 3ins forward showed that he’s more than just a battering ram in a 5-1 thrashing of Walsall, offering intelligent movement and ruthless finishing to roll home Villa’s second before firing an emphatic penalty into the roof of the net.
“Of what I’ve seen so far, he’s a great link-up player and can score goals,” said the 65-year-old. “His penalty was outrageous at Walsall, I thought that was great.
“He looks confident, he looks the sort of player that they can play off. The early indications are that we’ve got a very good centre-forward in the making. I’ve always felt that this club is at its best when it’s got an iconic centre-forward.”

Little is not the only former Aston Villa striker excited to see Wesley in action against Premier League opposition.
Tony Cascarino told talkSPORT (30 July, 9:00am) this week that the former Trencin forward could be one of the most inspired signings of the summer.
The sample size may be small but that two-goal display against Walsall certainly gives Villa fans a lot to look forward to. Quick and agile despite his giant frame, Wesley also looks like a clinical finisher in and around the penalty area.
