Mignolet has made it very clear that he is not happy on the bench and the shot-stopper, who turned 30 recently, is on the radar of both Napoli and Borussia Dortmund, but what about Celtic?
Rodgers was Liverpool’s manager when The Reds paid £9 million to sign Mignolet from Sunderland in June 2013 and, for the most part, he kept his faith in the Belgian prior to his sacking over two years later.
“I’ve been delighted with Simon since he’s come into the team, he’s shown wonderful ability, a wonderful assurance,” Rodgers said of Mignolet during his time at Anfield, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
If Celtic can afford him, Mignolet could be the solution to their goalkeeping problems.
